In a beautiful rural setting, Standlow and Shiningford are perfect for a family cycling or walking holiday. There are numerous walks right from your doorstep, or you can take the short drive into the Peak District. Standlow and Shiningford are within walking distance of Carsington Water, which has a great outdoor children's play area, walking trail and cycle hire.

Standlow Farm -

Offering a mix of self-catering cottages of varying sizes, Standlow Farm suits small or large family holidays. During this time we have sectioned off the front terrace and some of the rear gardens to enable peace of mind. We undertake regular cleaning of the outside play area and indoor games room, as per government guidelines.

There is an indoor games room with a full-size snooker/pool table, air hockey, bar billiards and table tennis, sure to keep children and adults entertained despite the weather.

At the rear of the accommodation is an enclosed garden, housing a children's play frame for the little ones and for the more energetic, a big grassed paddock for ball games.

Shiningford - sleeps 4-35

Shiningford sits at the side of Carsington Water and offers countryside accommodation with hot tubs, and an outdoor swimming pool for the warmer months. There is a children's play frame and plenty of outdoor space for ball games.

The Stables sleeps 12 in 5 en-suite bedrooms, with an open-plan kitchen/dining/lounge. At this time, we are offering The Stables in a reduced number of bedrooms for family groups of 4-6. The Stables has a private hot tub and beautiful garden, both of which are separate to The Manor.

The Manor has 9 bedrooms - sleeping up to 19 - suitable for a large family holiday in a Grade II listed house.
The Manor is set up for self-catering, with the farmhouse kitchen and dining room, featuring a log burning fire for the colder months. The Manor also has an enclosed garden with a private hot tub.


During this time, the swimming pool is sectioned to enable guests in the Stables and guests in the Manor to social distance. The outdoor pool is a free zone as the chlorine kills the virus. We undertake regular cleaning of outdoor areas, as per government guidelines.

Ashbourne Hall - for large family holiday groups of 22

Bring your family, friends & dogs to Ashbourne Hall, only a short drive from Alton Towers and within walking distance of the pretty market town of Ashbourne. Ashbourne Hall is opposite Ashbourne Park, and just a few minutes' walk from numerous independent shops, bars, cafes and restaurants.

This spacious house can sleep up to 22 guests in ten boutique-style bedrooms, or can be reduced to accommodate smaller numbers of 14.

Ashbourne Hall is a fantastic location for big families, or multiple families wanting to stay in the same house.

Relax after a tiring day in the hot tub, or take a stroll into the town of Ashbourne. If the children still have energy, take them to the park opposite or Ashbourne swimming pool.
