1. Historical explorer quest at Bolsover Castle

Explore Bolsover Castle, an English Heritage site, to find the puzzles and games hidden in the grounds. The activities are on from the 19th-27th February, and you can buy tickets here.

 

2. Nature trail at Derby Museum

The Derby Museum are kicking off a nature trail on the 19th February, marking World Pangolin Day. The trail will be on until the 27th February, and costs just £1 per child. For older children, while you’re in Derby, head to Quad for a virtual reality experience for 14-19 year olds. Book in for the 25th February through this link.

 

3. Life on the Farm

The National Forest Adventure Farm need some help feeding lambs and driving tractors this half term! Tickets must be bought in advance for your chosen day between the 19th-27th February, through this link here.

 

4. Cycle trail at Calke Abbey

Hire a bike at the National Trust site, Calke Abbey, for a short or long ride along the flat Tramway Trail. You can see directions and details here.

 

5. Half term crafts at Denby

There are craft sessions on every hour between 10am-4pm during half term at Denby Pottery Village. Each child costs £5 and they get to bring their creation home – take a look here.

 

6. Mutiny at Alton Towers!
