After the success of last year, Shine A Light is coming back to celebrateDerbyshire’s rich heritage. From September 2022 to February 2023, visitors will be able to enjoy the spectacular illuminations and music that are fun for the whole family.
The awe-inspiring projections will be on at four historic locations around Derbyshire:
- Cromford Mills– Sir Richard Arkwright’s original mill, in the UNESCO Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site. There will be two shows on Thursday 27th October and Friday 28th October.
- Elvaston Castle – a Gothic-style castle from the early 1800s, with expansive surrounding parkland. The two dates for Elvaston Castle are Saturday 19th November and Sunday 20th November.
- Barrow Hill Roundhouse, the last surviving railway roundhouse in the UK. Shine A Light will be here on Thursday 8th December and Friday 9th December.
- Hardwick Hall, an Elizabethan National Trust hall with beautiful gardens and parkland. Don’t miss out on the final shows on Friday 17th February or Saturday 18th February.
