With a football pitch, BBQs, games room and hot tubs, Standlow is ideal for stag weekends. It is a complex of rural cottages and a farmhouse, together with a large dining barn. In total, Standlow can sleep from 6-52 guests, depending on your stag party size.

At Standlow you can keep the whole stag party entertained, whatever the weather! The Barn, Foxglove Cottage and High View Grange each have a hot tub, and High View Grange also offers a cinema room.

The unique feature of this venue is the large games room, housing 2 full-size snooker/pool tables, air hockey, table football, bar billiards and table tennis. We also provide footballs, cricket bats and balls that you are welcome to use on the paddock, where you'll find goalposts.

Within walking distance is the village of Kniveton, featuring The Red Lion, a good local pub that welcomes Standlow guests.

Situated a mile from Standlow, Carsington Water offers cycling, walking trails, water sports and a Visitor Centre. The historic town of Ashbourne is located 3 miles away, and contains an assortment of shops, pubs, bars and restaurants. The nearest city is Derby, where you can find nightclubs, escape rooms and laser tag.

Shiningford is perfect for outdoor stag weekends, and cycling & water enthusiasts.

Shiningford is a country estate, sleeping from 12-35 stags in a Grade II listed manor house together with converted stables. It provides countryside accommodation for up to 34 in separate beds.

Gather with friends in the two hot tubs, or compete for supremacy in the wonderful outdoor swimming pool.

A short walk down the private drive brings you to the Carsington Water, where you can try your hand at a variety of water sports. Sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and raft building are all available. You can also hire bikes to take the cycling route around the reservoir.

The Miners Arms is within walking distance, where you can find cask ales and great pub grub.

Arrange for caterers and activity suppliers to come in yourselves, or for a hassle-free planning process, we can organise it for you. Our Stag Party Packages can be added onto your house hire to give you two activities and a private chef-cooked meal. You can choose from two stag packages, starting at £75 per person.

The Sporty Stag Package - £75 per person (minimum 10 people)

This package is available at Standlow, Shiningford and Hollywood House, and includes the following:

* Dodgeball
The dodgeball referee will split you into two teams to dip, dive, duck and dodge for 60 minutes.

* Sports Day
Old school sports day games in a knock out style competition. Bring out the space hoppers and javelins...

* Full English Breakfast
Recover the next morning with a hot breakfast, cooked by a private chef in your stag house.

The Full Stag Package - £99 per person (minimum 15 people)

This includes the following:

* 3 hours of outdoor activities
For stag weekends at Standlow, Shiningford or Hollywood House, we can bring a mobile climbing wall to you! You'll also get to try out archery and learn bushcraft skills. Stag groups at Ashbourne Hall can still take advantage of the Stag Party Package, you'll just have to drive to a nearby activity centre for this part of the day.

* Whisky tasting
Tasting session run in our holiday cottages by a whisky distillery manager (so you don't have to drive anywhere!).

* Meal cooked by a private chef
A chef will come to our stag venues to prepare a BBQ or sharing platters, depending on the weather. Expect to see slowly-marinated chicken, steak and sausages on the menu! Vegetarian options are also aplenty, with veggie burgers, kebabs and jacket potatoes on offer.
